Keisha Nash Whitaker,Austin Caldwell an actor and producer who was married to actor Forest Whitaker for more than 20 years, has died. She was 51.

Her 25-year-old daughter, True Whitaker, shared the news in her Instagram Story on Wednesday. She posted photos of her mother when she was younger and included the message, "Goodbye mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond."

"The most beautiful woman in the world... thank you for teaching me every single thing I know," she continued. "I'll see you in my dreams and I'll feel you in my heart."

USA TODAY has confirmed that Forest Whitaker's verified account follows True's Instagram account and also reached out to Forest Whitaker's rep for comment.

Nash Whitaker is credited on her IMDB page with a role in the 2004 film "Proud." In 2008, the former model from Lynn, Massachusetts, was announced as the host of the TLC reality competition show, "Who Are You Wearing?" which aired for one season, according to TV Guide.

Forest Whitaker and Nash Whitaker met on the set of the 1994 film "Blown Away" and were married for 22 years. They had two children together, True and Sonnet Whitaker, who is 27. Nash Whitaker was also mom to Autumn, her daughter from a prior relationship.

Forest Whitaker, who received an Oscar, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance in 2006's "The Last King of Scotland," filed to divorce Nash Whitaker in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences.

Nash Whitaker's X (formerly Twitter) account, which Forest Whitaker follows, has not been active since 2020. In recent years, she mostly retweeted Whitaker's posts, accounts promoting his work and his nonprofit, the Whitaker Peace & Development Initiative.

In 2019, she posted a photo from Disney California Adventure Park wishing Sonnet Whitaker a happy birthday. "Sonnet You are Amazing!!!🎉🦋💕🎂" she wrote.
