A deal for the "A Christmas Story" house has been reached after the house and surrounding properties were on the market for just under a year, according to a Tuesday Facebook post by the house's current owners.

No details about the sale are listed in the post, including the identity of the new owner. The post did state that the house and its accompanying museum, which is open to the public, will remain in operation during the transition and that the deal will be finalized in November.

The purchaser will receive 1.3 acres of land and five buildings across seven lots in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio, according to the original listing.

The house has become a landmark in Cleveland, drawing fans of the movie from around the world. It is ranked by TripAdvisor as one of the top things to do in the city.

The film will celebrate its 40th anniversary this year. The Greater Cleveland Film Commission will host a three-day event titled, Behind the Camera: Ralphie Comes Home, in November. The event will reunite cast members and have a panel moderated by NBC's Al Roker.
